Vpeter, It is embarrassing to me but now I found that MP3 reproduction is not possible with your build, sorry. Here an extract of the log:

Update with this: http://mirror1.openelec.tv/tbs.matrix/O ... Gotham.tar

I noticed blue led blinks all the time. Will get fixed later. For now just add into autostart.sh
Code: Select All Code
echo "/usr/bin/status-led on" >>/storage/.config/autostart.sh

Done! Vpeter, It sounds that you will maintain the Gotham software, which is much appreciated! So far I could test your latest software in this short time, it works! One little thing: The tty is overwriting the TBS bootlogo at boot time. I need something like the DOS command "Echo on/off" in the appropriate shell.

Run in console
Code: Select All Code
mount /flash -o remount,rw
sed -i 's|video=mxcfb|quiet video=mxcfb|' /flash/uEnv.txt
sync
cat /flash/uEnv.txt

You should get quiet paameter in and no more text over logo. I think.

According to info I got even Gotham didn't have any deinterlace. That's why Helix works the same. The only difference is that deinterlace must be set manually I think (when watching movie select film role -> Deinterlace). This means there is no point having Gotham images.

I can't believe that! Raspberry Pi and Xios DS have already Helix and they perform well without switching manually around! Almost all of my HD movies are recorded from German pay-tv. They send HD in 1920x1080i (interlaced!). Free-tv broadcasters are sending in Germany in 1280x720p. Could you please confirm that my demo movie is running well on Helix/Matrix with that manual correction? I would be glad to change again the OS of my Matrix (MatrixTV internal, Helix on SD or uSD!) cause I miss web server and UPnP server with your last build for me. I just checked my RasPi (Helix): When selecting the film-roll icon during playback, the following menu appears:
2014-12-21 20.08.56.jpg

You should note that "deinterlace" is on "auto". What about your Helix build for the Matrix?

Yes, but now I have a black screen on boot (no TBS boot logo).

I already told you that you can't compare all systems even if they are running same Helix version! There is better support for one systems and not that good for others (like systems based on imx6 soc).

What I'm telling you there is no difference at all using Gotham or Helix on matrix because Gotham didn't have any deinterlace function either. Just like Helix doesn't (yet). I'm no expert on this it's just what I have been told. If you don't believe that come to irc and ask user fritsch.

Seems openelec is not for you on matrix. At least not for some time. But what I can't understand why matrixtv works.
