OpenELEC Beta 4.95.2 and more

MatrixTV is using Gotham. Deinterlacing there works I think. But In Helix there was no deinterlacing for imx6 platform for a month back when fritsch starts working on cubox-i support . Current state is that for SDTV works but not (yet) for HDTV. How long it will take to get there no one knows.
That's why you can't mix all systems as they are the same. Even if running same XBMC/Kodi version.
Yes, support for tbs matrix and udoo will come officially to openelec. Probably after 5.0. I'm working on this 2 platforms.
You have to understand that for Raspberry Pi there was lot of work done to get all this performance out. For imx6 someone still needs to make all those things. And the progress is very good (from 0 to SDTV in a month). And it is not just matrix issue - it's imx6 issue.

Yeah I do not want mix everything, mainly Database and Thumbnails. This works at the moment for me on 3 devices. What about the official http://releases.openelec.tv/OpenELEC-im ... 4.97.2.tar version? How to get it on the matrix? Why are you (hard) working on OpenElec in parallel? At the moment, my matrix is broken. I have stored the 4 files (kernel* and system*) from the mentioned file into the .update directory of the matrix. Now I get "sh: can't access tty: job control turned off" and the system don't boot anymore. I guess I can fix that problem by deleting the 4 files again. But I can't find them and a find command does not exist. Last help?

Why would you update with imx6 official version if there is not everything for matrix? At the end you would stay with blinking led. There is nothing better inside than in my images. I'm working in parallel because not everything has been included in official openelec. It will be probably after 5.0.
I don't know what happen to your matrix but reinstall would fix the problem.

And only for you I build one image with XBMC Gotham. Maybe this would work better for you.

Many thanks for your extra efforts vpeter, but I already have switched back to matrixtv (with Gotham). Is there a chance to change the bootloader for dual-boot without loosing the installation? Then I could prepare a sd card for observing the progress of OpenELEC with Helix and also check your file. I'm a user of OpenELEC since they began the development for the Raspberry Pi. My wish for Christmas is to have all my media devices with OpenElec+Helix. BTW: Are you an (free) employee from TBS?

Ahh, the links of your referenced tutorial about multiboot are ok again. It seems that I need an account for the "cloud". So I will try this as described!

For LiveTV you can't use Helix on matrix (or any other imx6 based system). That's why I made Gotham image which should work (at least this Avatar sample did for me).
For watching progress about this deinterlacing issue check https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/5805
No, I'm not employee of anyone openelec related. Only got devices for free (I think) to work on them.
You don't need bitcasa account to download files.

I know, I am barefaced, but is it possible to get the Gotham build with multiboot functionality? I tried your description to integrate MB into your build but it failed. Reason is that the batch and the ucl2.xml do not match. Please?!

It is already in. You just need to install multiboot u-boot in eMMC. For this you need to look in another thread because this must be done manually (to have matrixtv in eMMC and booting openelec from sd card). I only cover having openelec in eMMC and still booting something else from sd card.

Actually this TBS-MatrixTV-V1.0.1.0-multiboot.zip was intended to overwrite files in matrixtv folder and then install. After that matrixtv is multiboot capable also. If newer matrixtv changes something in xml it should just be adapted. The main difference is loading different u-boot and new file uEnv.txt.

On SD card there must be bootscript file uEnv.txt which defines boot configuration. If file is present then SD card is used to boot. And if there is nothing useful inside system doesn't boot. You can also see the progress with serial debug console which shows output from bootloader and kernel and anything else.
