vpeter, It is just work around. As i can see, the problem is somewere in ALSA. After calling snd_pcm_hw_params_set_format(...S24_LE...) the period_size decreased to 384. I can't find that place, where sound-parameters are calculated =(
The visualisations(f.e. WaveForm) are also have a lot of //TODOs. The sound-card parameters are not used

Sorry far asking as newbie! I was trying to install OpenELEC-imx6.arm-devel-20141212185955-r19776-g15f1597.tar with MFGTool2 (PC Version). But I get the error "ModuleID[2] LevelID[1]: Error: Can't find the specified list(SabreSD-eMMC-use-batch-file) in the xml file". The missing list is defined in cfg.ini:
[LIST]
name = SabreSD-eMMC-use-batch-file
What name should I use instead? Currently the original TBS software is installed (TBS-MatrixTV-V1.0.1.1-V21). So I think I have do do a "reinstall" (name = SabreSD-eMMC-reinstall). Am I right? Thanks!

Dinos52, use batch file not exe directly. I think you could conclude that from error message ;)

Vpeter, could you please be more precise? Is "name = SabreSD-eMMC-reinstall" the right choice. I'm a little bit cautious ;)

Dinos52, you don't change any file. Don't click on exe but on batch file MfgTool2-reinstall.bat.

Vpeter, with your help I was successful to install the mentioned file, many thanks again. However, the result is rather disappointing! I am not able to see LiveTV without jerks with about 13 fps on 1080p. The audio is going asynchronously for seconds. Same with HD movies from NAS! The original software from TBS (XBMC 13.?) worked fine with that. Even a Raspberry Pi with Kodi can do the work (38 fps) at the same network location (Ethernet) satisfying. I do not want to complain and I know this is beta status. But before I flash back the device to the TBS software, is there any hope for improvement? Do I have to install another driver for the hardware codec (it seems that hardware acceleration does not work)?

Dinos52, I would say that there is something wrong in your case. Because you are the first with such bad response ;)
Same image runs on Cubox-i and there are no such complaints. I think some other users should tell us how it work for them.

Yes, may be! But on the other hand: I have 4 devices running Openelec / Kodi / XBMC 13.2 (Raspberry Pi, TBS-Matrix, Amazon FireTV, Xios DS media player) with identical settings. None of them except the Matrix produces this issues. They are all at the same wired network. And the Matrix was running well with the TBS software (XBMC 13.2). So what should be my conclusion? Any other hints than "something wrong"?!

I think someone else must confirm this issues. But could be that something is wrong with current version.
